Another day out was to Sanctuary Cove which is south of Brisbane on the northern Gold Coast. It takes me about 40 mins to drive.
It is its own little oasis with beautiful residential areas, the town village with shops, restaurants, cafes, and a small movie theatre.
Sanctuary Cove is known for its magnificent water craft. It has many small to large yachts and motor boats. Just to wander around the marina is a treat in itself. You will often see some magnificent boats for sale. There are cafes and bars around the marinas offering a very pleasant chance to rest, have a drink and take in the beautiful views.
My friends and I often drive down for lunch at George’s Paragon Seafood restaurant.
A good day out! Lovely lunch, wonderful outlook and a bit of retail therapy!!
Thanx Mary. It always seems to be a great day each time I go. And just so easy.
Looks just beautiful, it’s been years since I have been there and I loved it then. Will have to check it out again. Xx
Sometimes we forget what we have so close to home. I hope you enjoy your next visit there
That all just took me back to my work over in the French Riviera. What lovely boats. Jd.
Wow. That is very special. Nice comment
I have to agree Georges is one of my favourite restaurants down there. It is such a lovely relaxing place to go for a few hours or an entire day.
Yes it is so easy and relaxing Thanx Donna
Only been once to that restaurant & food was fabulous..Kay
I think I am going there tomorrow for my birthday
Lovely day out and how I love marinas. I grew up on boats and miss the water terribly. We were always jumping off jetties and skiing around the lake!
Buon compleanno Lyn!
Hi Cat. Where did you jump off jetties and which lake did you ski on. I spent many years on Pittwater & skiing on Narrabeen lakes. Your last comment has me very curious. Thank you for your wishes
