I know what you are thinking, this is not about Italy.
However for my friends who live here in Brisbane or any of my followers who are planning a trip to Brisbane, I can thoroughly recommend this escape away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This little slice of heaven, Ocean View, Mt Mee, is located just 45 minutes drive north west from Brisbane. The drive up, which is through bush land country roads, is magical. Driving the narrow winding road, there are plenty of things to see along the way with many opportunities for photo shoots. The views are breathtaking. Along the way you will see many private exquisite homes.
We drove up from Brisbane, taking our time so that we could take in the beautiful scenery and breathe in the clean mountain air.
We stopped for coffee at a funky little cafe in Dayboro and spent time exploring this quaint little town. Before arriving at the Oceanview Vineyards and Winery.
Oceanview Estates Winery and Restaurant which is nestled in a lovely country setting sits up high with amazing views across the country side.
We were seated on the deck overlooking the lake, vineyards and green grassy paddocks. Words cannot do justice to the fantastic food, great service and beautiful view. Several times there were large groups of horses with their riders passing by down below us.
We were not in a hurry so we took our time to unwind, while taking in the heavenly views and the perfect atmosphere.
After lunch we spent time in the tasting room where we tasted several of their impressive wines – white, red and sparkling, which are produced on the estate using the grapes that are harvested there.
Later in the afternoon we took our time driving back down to Brisbane feeling as though we had just had a mini holiday.
Absolutely delightful!!!
I had no idea that winery even existed. We will certainly being putting it on the to list.
Thanks so much Lyn once again. x
