From San Cassiano we took the bus further up the mountain to the little village of Montefegatesi.
The bus ride was a lot of fun but for some it could be quite scary. The roads are very narrow, steep and have no guard rails and our driver thought he was driving in a grand prix. It is a sheer drop looking out of the bus windows and down. But. Gorgeous scenery all the way up.
When we arrived in this lovely little village we realised it was siesta time as everything was closed and there was no one around.
Except for the dogs.
As we quietly wandered around exploring and taking photos we were greeted by dogs with very loud voices. Maybe their owners were not too happy with the barking.
We ran in to an Aussie lady, Mauricia and her dog Deane who we had met on the bus a few days earlier. Yes, dogs ride the buses also here. They can go almost anywhere here. Mauricia has been living in the area for 8 years so showed us around Montefegatesi.
There is not a lot to tell you so just let me show you some photos of this stunning area.
