This is another wonderful day out we had here in Queensland when my overseas visitors were visiting.
Paradise point parklands on the northern end of the famous Gold Coast is the perfect location for a stroll, picnic, swim or just a relaxing day out. It is only a few minutes drive south from Sanctuary cove and an easy 40 mins drive for me from Brisbane.
It is located on the broadwater so its beaches are protected. There are no waves, and the water is always calm and easy to swim in. There is a shark protected area which is best to use.
Just across from the beach are many shops, restaurants and coffee shops. It is easy to sit at one of the sidewalk cafes and look out at this beautiful view.
Or you can pick up a take away coffee and sit at one of the many picnic tables and seats.
There are many free bbq’s in the area. Aussies are famous for their bbq’s and outdoor entertaining as we have the weather for it. Along the paved walk ways there are fitness stations for exercise including instructions on how to use the equipment.
There are open grassed areas, perfect for a game of cricket with the kids, or a kick of the footy. The park benches overlooking the beautiful Broadwater provide a majestic view, and a romantic spot to enjoy with your loved one.
Paradise point is a great day out for anyone. You can have a coffee or spend the entire day there.
